O Lord, you hear the desire of the afflicted; you will strengthen their heart; you will incline your ear to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, so that man who is of the earth may strike terror no more.

Psalm 10:17-18 (ESV)

I knew Human Trafficking existed however I was ignorant, ignorant to how despicable and evil human beings actually could be with no regard to human life at all.

Nothing is more confronting than hearing of children being sold for no more than $5 for sexual satisfaction. My heart broke the day I heard that a child as young as 5 years old had been found and rescued from a brothel in Cambodia, that was the day I knew I had to do something, my heart became burdened for those afflicted by sexual slavery, not only do I want to see human trafficking eradicated, I desire to see lives set free from the horrors that plague them from this bondage. These young girls and women have suffered such horrendous sexual, emotional and physical abuse, not only have they been shown they are worthless through tortuous abuse, but also repeatedly told they're invaluable, that they are trash and worth nothing.

My heart became restless and a righteous anger ignited within me, becoming an advocate against Human Trafficking wasn't enough in my eyes, my heart yearned to do more and wanted to be part of bringing change, however that looked,  I was ready to do what ever God asked of me.

One night I woke up with an idea of making toiletry bags for the women in Cambodia, my heart and mind started racing and of course I could not sleep after that. I had no idea how I was going to make these bags or even sew them as I had no sewing machine nor had I sewn in years, not to mention would Janine Kubala even take these toiletry bags to Cambodia...but when it's a Gods idea, He provides the way, the material and the tools to get these bags made and into the hands of some beautiful women.

As time went by making these bags, It soon became clear that they were not just a toiletry bag, but a little piece of beauty, with such an amazing impact of dignity and worth that would become a product of Hope and a Future, a symbol of love given freely from women in Australia to the women in Cambodia.

The majority of these Cambodian women would not even posses such a bag, let alone be given a beautiful gift with no strings attached, my hearts desire is to see these women rise up walking in the Hope found in Jesus Christ as daughters of the King living in freedom from shame and walking boldly in courage raising their voice confidently in the knowledge that they are worthy of the most purest form of love given freely for them through Jesus.

Making these bags is 'Love in Action', this is my moment to bring change. It's such a privilege to be a part of bringing Joy, Worth and Value to these women and through Esther's Voice Ministry proclaiming the love of Jesus, these women can flourish knowing that they are indeed valuable looking forward in Hope of a brighter future through Him.
